One of my favorite things in the entire world is the moon — the way it moves around the earth, constantly changing, never the same, yet always powerful. Its phases tell a story of cycles, growth, and transformation. I took my love for dark, moody aesthetics and paired it with that fascination, and that’s how Dark Moon Photography was born. It represents depth, emotion, and beauty in every phase—just like the moments I capture.
When I’m not photographing, you can usually find me working my full-time job in law enforcement, lifting at the gym (& hating my coach mid rep), creating memories with my favorite people, spending time with my dogs — Kona, Kato, Max, and Misha, binge-watching a good TV show or movie, or getting outside to hike and camp. These are just a few of the things that keep me grounded and inspired.
I may not wear the “aesthetic” look of a photographer. I might not always speak in perfectly polished sentences. But what I am is someone who pours my soul into your time with me.
I strive to create jaw-dropping images that you’ll cherish for the rest of your life. The kind you hang in your home and catch yourself staring at from time to time. The kind that instantly bring you back to that exact moment — where you can hear the laughter, feel the love, and relive it all over again.
This is more than taking photos to me. It’s preserving pieces of your story in the most real, emotional, and cinematic way I know how.

Breanna, better known as Bre, is my designated second shooter and the other half of what many couples quickly call the dynamic duo. The moment you meet her, you’ll understand why. She brings the kind of energy that’s impossible to ignore — bubbly, magnetic, and instantly your biggest hype girl within seconds.
Behind that personality is a photographer with a sharp eye for detail and a strong grip on timelines. Bre keeps things flowing smoothly, making sure your day stays on track without ever feeling rushed.
Weddings can feel like a whirlwind of emotions, but that’s where we come in. Together, Bre and I are your calm in the chaos — supporting you, guiding you, and capturing every moment in between.

Meet Kar
Karyn is my behind-the-scenes girl — the quiet observer with a powerful eye and a personality you can’t miss. She’s fun, loving, and effortlessly hilarious, the kind of person who clicks right into the mix of this fast-paced, chaotic, and beautiful industry like she’s always belonged here.
While everything unfolds, she’s capturing it from afar — documenting the real, the raw, and the in-between moments you don’t even realize are happening. Not just of you, but of us too—the way your story is being built, frame by frame. And when she’s not behind the camera, you’ll see her moving just as seamlessly — running items back and forth, fixing the little details, grabbing whatever you or we need without a second thought. She notices everything, and that attention to detail never goes unnoticed.
She plays a crucial role within Dark Moon. Karyn is the one who brings everything full circle. She gives you a different glimpse of the art before it’s ever officially created—the laughter before the shutter, the emotion before the final image, the chaos that somehow turns into something beautiful.
